Dog DNA Profiling (ISAG 2006)
Accurate and permanent genetic identification for dogs—essential for breeders, veterinarians, and pet owners.
Product Description
Dog DNA profiling, also known as genotyping, is a reliable method for establishing a unique and permanent genetic identity by analyzing Short Tandem Repeat (STR) markers. Each dog carries two alleles per STR locus, resulting in a DNA fingerprint that remains unchanged throughout life.
Our analysis follows the International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG) 2006 standards, utilizing a panel of 22 STR markers. We guarantee the successful identification of at least 17 markers per sample, ensuring a DNA profile accuracy above 99.9%.
Applications:
- Permanent identification in case of loss or theft
- Verification of parentage and exclusion of hereditary diseases ("clear by parentage")
- Selection of compatible breeding pairs and artificial insemination planning
- Backup identification method if microchip fails
