Another successful FCI event has been organised, on which this year AnimaLabs had opportunity to present itself. The FCI-European Dog Show this year took place in Brussels, Belgium and was held between 26th and 28th of August. Within those 3 days about 30, 000 visitors with 15, 000 dogs have visited the event.
FCI-European Dog Show 2016
This year’s FCI show was of great importance, not just by the number of people that were attending and stands presented, but also because of its historical value. Belgium was the first country in history to organise a dog show, which was held in Tervuren in 1847. During the time of the first dog show, idea of creating a pedigree data base arose. Several decades later, The ”Society Saint-Hubert” was founded and the first pedigrees were registered. This year, more than 100 years later, The ”Society Saint-Hubert” was the organizer of the European Dog Show in Belgium, where it originally took place for the very first time.
The event was a big success for AnimaLabs, where participants visited our stand. Visitors wanted to know more about canine genetic heritage, diseases and specific DNA tests. Many samples were collected and in return, AnimaLabs handed out to their customers special offer coupons.
